Frequently Asked Questions
To experience the full benefit of the work, weekly sessions are preferred. After 3-6 months a biweekly option is available or earlier if needed. Generally folks experience the best results by committing to at least 6 months or more of regular sessions. Consider if there is a day and time that works best for you. It can be helpful to have the time after a session to be spacious or low-key as you might still be integrating the work. These sessions can feel heavy in that we are exploring the edges of your experience and it can be activating to your system to feel the hard stuff. It gets easier overtime but initially we will be building a container for the work and need that greater frequency to establish the foundation.
The rate is for each session and is based on an equitable pricing model. If you need a payment plan to make smaller payments for each session or pay for multiple sessions in advance, please let me know.

A sliding scale is a way for folks who have less financial resources can pay a rate that works for them while those who have access to more financial resources can pay more to cover the lower end of the scale. This way the practitioner isn’t the only person financially funding the bandaid for the broken system. Until there is universal access to healthcare the collective can absorb the financial responsibility of this offering.

No. This is not psychotherapy and I am not a licensed psychotherapist. Somatic therapy is a different lens that is used to approach what is happening. What this can do is compliment the work you are already doing in psychotherapy and give you a way to work with your system beyond what the mind can hold. Somatic Therapy is a mind/body approach. We approach through sensation rather than by verbally processing the experiences. These sessions are more of an experiential practice to transform patterns and deepen into your felt sense.
